As Project Manager, Alex oversees the production of Creative Time’s public projects, liaising with artists, managing relationships with vendors and fabricators, and maintaining project timelines and budgets. Alex originally came to Creative Time as a Programming Intern in 2015 before joining the team full-time in 2016. Since then, Alex has supported five major Creative Time exhibitions including Duke Riley’s Fly By Night (2016), Pedro Reyes’ Doomocracy (2016), Sophie Calle’s Here Lie the Secrets… (2017), and most recently, Phil Collins’ Bring Down The Walls (2018).
Alex received her B.A. in Political Science in 2013 from Johns Hopkins University, where she wrote her undergraduate thesis on the political process that engendered Peter Eisenman’s Memorial to the Murdered Jews of Europe. After graduating, Alex traveled to Derry, Northern Ireland to support the production of David Best’s Temple, a massive, ephemeral installation that invited visitors to reflect on loss. Alex remains interested in memorial art/architecture and practices of collective grief and memory.
