Matthew C. McCardwell
Matthew McCardwell is the Programming Coordinator at Creative Time, working closely with the Executive Director and the Programming team to research and produce the institution’s public projects. Matthew also serves as the Internship Coordinator.
Born and raised in Louisville, Kentucky, Matthew graduated from Vassar College with a BA in Art History. He first joined Creative Time as a summer intern with the Development team, exploring pigeon fancying for Duke Riley’s Fly By Night and the more ghoulish side of public art with Pedro Reyes’s Doomocracy. In 2017, Matthew came on board full time as the Executive Assistant to the Executive Director and the institution’s curatorial team, where he served as a liaison to the board and helped to produce Phil Collins’ Bring Down the Walls and Basilea, a public art commission for Art Basel. Matthew has spent time living and working in France and studying contemporary art in Morocco. He lives in Brooklyn, NY.
