Race for the Arts, a 5K walk/run sponsored by Creative Time and the New York State Arts Council and the New York Road Runner’s Club, celebrated the 1996/1997 cultural season in New York. Creative Time commissioned the X-Cheerleaders to kick off the event with cheers at both the start and finish of the run.
