About Craig Robins

Craig Robins has supported public art and creative communities for nearly three decades. A dedicated collector and patron to the arts, Robins has fostered cultural life in his hometown of Miami, as well as across the country. He transformed Miami’s Design District into an international arts destination, stewarding public artworks by John Baldessari, Buckminster Fuller, Marc Newson and Matthew Ritchie, as well as architectural projects by Zaha Hadid and Sou Fujimoto, to name a few. Robins started Design Miami/ and Design Miami/Basel, leading design fairs owned in partnership with the producers of Art Basel, MCH Swiss Exhibition. He is the Founder and Chairman of the Anaphiel Foundation, a non-profit organization dedicated to supporting arts education, and a member of Pérez Art Museum Miami’s Board of Trustees. In 2006, he was awarded the Design Patron Award by the Smithsonian Institution’s Cooper-Hewitt National Design Museum.
