F.E.A.S.T. is a recurring public dinner and self-sustaining micro-grant program that uses community-driven financial support to democratically fund new and emerging artists. At each F.E.A.S.T., participants pay a sliding-scale entrance fee for supper and a ballot to cast their vote for one of the proposed projects. The winning proposal of each F.E.A.S.T.—determined by the votes of the diners—is awarded the funds collected by the entrance fee to produce the proposed project. The resulting work is then presented at the next F.E.A.S.T. The F.E.A.S.T. model has been replicated in Baltimore, Boston, Chicago, Jersey City, Minneapolis, Philadelphia, Portland, St. Louis, and Huntington, West Virginia.
