Working Artists and the Greater Economy (W.A.G.E.) is a New York-based activist and consciousness-raising group formed in 2008. W.A.G.E. advocates that fair payment practices be established for the visual artists, performers and independent curators with whom U.S. art institutions & organizations choose to work. W.A.G.E. are artists, art workers, arts writers, performers and independent curators fighting to get paid for making the world more interesting.
