Pi San is the pseudonym of Beijing-based animator Wang Bo, whose darkly satirical short films have become widely popular in China despite government censorship. His company, Hutoon, animates music videos, stories, and advertisements for an array of profitable companies, but also funds Pi San's more rebellious work. Kuang Kuang, the mischievous schoolboy that features in many of Pi San's videos, is an alter ego whose experiences indirectly criticize the Chinese government's abuses of power.
