Zimasa Mpemnyama is an activist with the Black First Land First movement based in Johannesburg. She has worked and written for Reuters, eNCA, Live Magazine, Red Bull, The Con Mag, Africanah and Culture Review. She is interested in Black Revolutionary Feminist thought, intersectionality and contemporary struggles for black liberation.
