Chto delat/ What is to be done?

Chto delat/What is to be done? is a collective of artists, critics, philosophers, and writers from Moscow and St. Petersburg, working with the goal of merging political theory, art, and activism. Since its inception, the group has published an English-Russian newspaper on a variety of issues, with a special focus on the re-politicization of Russian intellectual culture. This publication is usually put out in connection with specific events and is distributed for free at exhibitions, social forums, and rallies, where it reaches a broad public. At the 2009 Istanbul Biennial, the group produced a special installation consisting of videos and in situ wall drawings that reflected on the potential of political projects for social emancipation and collectivism.

Founded 2003. Based in St. Petersburg, Russia.
Represented at the Creative Time Summit by Olga Egorova and Dimitry Vilensky
