Chus Martínez

Chus Martínez is Chief Curator at the Museu d’Art Contemporani de Barcelona (MACBA) and a guest curator at the 29th São Paulo Biennial. Martínez recently curated The Malady of Writing at MACBA, a unique exhibition of books, pamphlets, ephemera, and single pages that represent an array of artists’ fiction that is often written, produced, and self-published out of necessity or compulsion. Previously, Martínez was the Director of the Frankfurter Kunstverein, Curator at Sala Rekalde in Bilbao, and Co-Director of Parker’s Box Gallery in Brooklyn, New York. She contributes to a number of journals and magazines, including Afterall and The Exhibitionist.
