PLATFORM organizes projects with a coalition of artists and activists that promote a community-based approach to social and ecological justice in reaction to transnational corporations.

PLATFORM

For over twenty years, PLATFORM has assembled interdisciplinary groups of environmentalists, artists, educators, and activists to build innovative social and ecological justice projects. PLATFORM began by creating democratically engaged street performances that sought to incite awareness, debate, and action on key community issues. Since 1996, the primary focus of PLATFORM has been visualizing, discussing, and resisting the direct environmental and sociological impact of transnational corporations. PLATFORM’s recent project Unravelling the Carbon Web launched in 2000 and examines the environmental and social ramifications of fossil-fuel dependency, in an effort to give agency to citizens and support a more sustainable energy economy.
