Tidal is a print magazine that offers Occupy theory and strategy as a means of empowering occupiers, whether actual or potential, to envision actions that they believe will ultimately transform existing power structures. Believing that there can be no radical action without radical thought, the publication steps away from popular analytic perspectives of the Occupy effort. Instead, Tidal offers more concrete means to realize its goals and articulate the movement’s potential. The magazine engages in a conversation between those who have spent most of their lives imagining the success of a movement like Occupy, and the leaders of the program itself. Tidal endeavors to offer challenging ideas in highly accessible language.
