In this session, the Brigada Puerta de Tierra (BPDT) will play a friendly and inclusive basketball game aimed at engaging with young people from local communities in Miami. Building on their experience of developing similar projects in Puerto Rico, BPDT hope to encourage community engagement, foster dialogue, and harness the potential for change in this activity.

BPDT is a community-based arts group comprised of children, youth and adults from the neighborhood of Puerta de Tierra in San Juan, Puerto Rico. Formed in 2015 under the slogan “AQUÍ VIVE GENTE,” BPDT is organized horizontally and collectively, operating under four key concepts: self-management, awareness, strategic planning and collective decision-making.
