Blurring disciplinary boundaries Dr. Pablo DeSoto works as an architect with digital media technologies to explore new conceptual frameworks and cutting-edge tools. His research investigates the urgent political and urban conditions of our time in collaboration with other spatial practitioners, artists, and activists. DeSoto holds a Master Degree in Architecture from the Royal Institute of Technology of Stockholm and a PhD in Communication & Culture from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro. He is the cofounder of the architect, computer specialist, and activist collective hackitectura.net, pioneering several hybrid architectural projects which manipulate hardware, software, and the internet on public space and territory.
