FRIDAY 14 NOVEMBER
DINNER AT MODERNA MUSEET

EXERCISPLAN 4 111 49, STOCKHOLM

On Friday night, the Moderna Museet will host a dinner designed by artist Loulou Cherinet and head chef Malin Söderström that fuses Ethiopian and Swedish traditions. Locally sourced with food from artist collective Kultivator’s farm off the southeast coast of Sweden, the meal brings together many traditions over an Ethiopian-inspired vegetarian menu and Swedish- brewed beer and schnapps. Guests will be seated in a large circle with shared plates as artist Saralunden’s performance unfolds over the course of the dinner. Based on the Asmari tradition, her performance weaves together current political situations, personal narrative, and history.

Each guest’s ticket also includes an invitation to engage in sustainable practices by contributing their digested material in specially-designed dry toilets. These toilets will be collected by Kultivator and brought back to the farm for composting and reintroduction into the farm’s cycle.

Curated by Edi Muka, Public Art Agency Sweden Head Chef: Malin Söderström

SATURDAY 15 NOVEMBER
SUMMIT CLOSING PARTY
AT STUDIO MOSSUTSÄLLNINGAR

CO-HOSTED BY STUDIO MOSSUTSTÄLLNINGAR

Mossutställningar presents a program of performance, music and arts to celebrate the inauguration of Studio Mossutställningar and the closing of The Creative Time Summit: Stockholm. The event takes place at Mossutställningar’s massive studio complex in the inner city harbour Värtahamnen, formerly the production premises of Sveriges Television (SVT).

At the entrance there will be a migration centre run by children from Skapa min värid. The feminist art collective ÖFA will stage a Danceoke celebrating the immigrant heroes of Europe. There will be new works by the studio artists, such as Madeleine Hatz’s commemoration of the man whose courage, for a few minutes, stopped the tanks on the 4th of June 1989 in Beijing. The hackerspace Sparvnästet will show Deathray–a piece on surveillance. And HICCUP’s audio guide featuring artist Jens Evaldsson that will lead you from the tube station of Gärdet to the event.

On top of that there will be mobile dancefloors/sound systems run by a number of DJs and musicians, such as Piotr Kurek, Naptha, Lap-See Lam, Kornél Kovács, Apollo De Azizi, Håll Käften och Dansa, and we will even have our very own Tango floor: Club Decadance.

Between 7-10 pm members of Studio Mossutställningar will have their studios open. Food from local food trucks, beer, wine, and spirits will be available for purchase. Bring cash!

This program is supported by the Swedish Arts Council (Kulturrådet), The Polish Institute and Public Art Agency Sweden.
