2022: GAIT AUGMENTATION WORKOUT

Led by Laura Allcorn (Institute For Comedic Inquiry)

41 COOPER SQUARE, 41 GALLERY SIDE SPACE, LOWER LEVEL 1
Note: This session is movement-based. Those with mobility issues will be given modifications in order to participate and add another level of discussion about for whom surveillance is being designed. This session requires pre-registration and is capped according to venue size.

Participate in a satirical workout seminar that trains you to outsmart skeletal tracking surveillance technologies. Imagine it’s 2022. Forget your fingerprint or your face: did you know that your walk is a reliable bio-tracker? It’s unique to you and can be identified from hundreds of yards away. Gait tracking technologies have been adopted by retailers, parks, and police departments. You don’t want to be identified based solely on the way you walk down the street. How will you avoid this potentially absurd future? Easy: with this workout seminar, guaranteed to help you go incognito on any sidewalk.
