Throughout history Roma have been perceived as the keepers of an ancient knowledge, but where is the place of Roma in the ultra-technologic future? Roma Futurism is a concept that refers to the cultural aesthetic at the intersection of Roma culture, technology, and witchcraft that generates responsible and strong Roma women heroes and contributes to the building of a new Romani community and identity. Meet the Roma tehno-witches who are conjuring justice, resisting discrimination and violence, and restoring their image in art, all while casting Cyber-Curses against neo-fascists, racists, and misogynist politicians.

Mihaela Drăgan is an actress, playwright, and Founder of Giuvlipen Theatre Company. Her performances focus on the connection between theatre, Roma identity, and social justice.
