We

Are All One by Rima Mardoyan-Smyth

"We Are All One" is comprised of murals and 10,000 flags that will be distributed to pedestrians on 42nd Street. The flags, unexpected gifts handed out like fliers, symbolize shaking hands. The murals and the flags depict ancient Egyptian hieroglyphs, one of the earliest forms of writing and communication, which the artist frequently uses in her work. To her, these abstract words have a comtemporary feeling and represent the secrecy of knowledge.
