Laurie Jo Reynolds' recent work takes the form of “Legislative Art”—art that participates and intervenes in government systems with the goal of concrete political change. She is the organizer of Tamms Year Ten, the grassroots campaign to close the state supermax prison in Illinois. As a recent Soros Justice Fellow, she researched and advocated for best practices to reduce sexual abuse and recidivism. Reynolds is a 2013 Creative Capital grant awardee for a new media project about prison life in Illinois.
