Norma Alvares is an activist and campaigner of social and environmental issues and advocate of the Bombay High Court. For close to three decades she has argued, free of cost, for over two-hundred Public Interest Litigation cases on environmental issues, human rights, women’s equality, and animal welfare. Alvares is a trustee of Lawyers Collective and founder trustee of The Other India Bookstore Society.
