Anton Vidokle

Anton Vidokle, artist and Founder of the international art network e-flux, has focused his work on experimental artistic education. Vidokle conflates the curatorial and scholastic in projects like unitednationsplaza in Berlin, a twelve-month exhibition-as-school involving more than one hundred artists, writers, and theorists, and the year-long series of Night School seminars (2008-2009) in collaboration with the New Museum in New York. Night School was comprised of eleven seminars organized around three thematic tracks. The participatory public program combined lectures, screenings, and group conversations held at the New Museum and various sites around New York. His work has been exhibited at the Venice Biennial, the Dakar Biennial, the Tate Modern in London, the University of Los Angeles’ Hammer Museum, the Institute of Contemporary Art in Boston, and MoMA P.S.1, among others.
