Kristina Norman uses a research-based approach to examine issues that are deeply immersed in the political contexts of her native Estonia.

Kristina Norman

Kristina Norman represented Estonia this year at the Venice Biennale with her project “After-War,” a multimedia installation dealing with the lingering conflicting cultural perspectives in Estonia on the Red Army in WWII. Her practice is often documentary- and research-based, steeped in political context. She has participated in numerous international exhibitions and festivals, as well as in the “Arrivals>New Art From The EU” series at the Modern Art Oxford in 2006.
