Not An Alternative is a community organization dedicated to integrating art and activism into the public’s understanding of history and events, operating through their multipurpose space The Change You Want to See Gallery. Represented at the Summit by co-founders Beka Economopoulos and Jason Jones, Not An Alternative’s practice includes workshops, trainings, panels, film screenings and more. Recent projects include a tent-city installation and demonstration in a vacant East Harlem lot. Economopoulos is also the Online Organizing Manager at Greenpeace USA.
