Anna Minton

Anna Minton is a journalist and writer tackling issues of spatial politics. Her interest in public space took root when she wrote a series of reports on the polarization and privatization of cities, culminating in her first book, Ground Control: Fear and Happiness in the Twenty-First Century City (Penguin, 2009). She is a Reader in Architecture at the University of East London where she is Program Leader of UEL’s new postgraduate MRes course, “Reading the Neoliberal City.” She is a regular contributor to The Guardian, writing often on housing, cities, democracy and public space.
