Naeem Mohaiemen researches borders, wars, and belonging after postcolonial ruptures. His long-term project, The Young Man Was, explores the revolutionary left as a form of tragic utopia. The latest chapter, Last Man in Dhaka Central, premiered at the 2015 Venice Biennial with support from Creative Time and a Guggenheim Fellowship.
