Stephen Duncombe (pictured on left) and Stephen Lambert are co-directors of the Center for Artistic Activism, a research and training institute that aims to help activists think more like artists and artists think more like activists. Lambert is a practicing artist whose work has been presented in Times Square, collected by the Library of Congress, and incorporated into protest marches around the world. Duncombe is an activist who has written and edited six books on politics and culture, including Dream: Re-Imagining Progressive Politics in an Age of Fantasy (The New Press, 2007) and the Cultural Resistance Reader (Verso, 2002).
