Kia LaBeija is an artist, Voguer, dancer, performance artist, and advocate. She makes photographs, collage, film, and performance. LaBeija composes cinematic autobiographical portraits and self-portraits: staging, re-imagining, sometimes documenting in real time or all of the above. LaBeija comes from the iconic House of LaBeija, where we she was the reigning Overall Mother as the house celebrated 50 years.
