DIGITAL & MARKETING COORDINATOR
Creative Time seeks a Digital & Marketing Coordinator passionate about connecting with people through digital storytelling and imagery to build diverse audiences for art, and creating compelling content that drives conversations at the intersection of art and social change. The Coordinator is responsible for the creation and posting of content across Creative Time’s digital platforms and supports in the development and production of materials for promotional campaigns and marketing initiatives, online and on-site. Reporting to the Head of Storytelling, they also collaborate with Graphic Designer, Video Fellow, external PR team, and across Creative Time’s programming, curatorial, and development teams.
QUALIFICATIONS:
• 1-3 years of recent work experience in digital marketing, social media, or content creation, or a proven track record of creating engaging content on a variety of social media platforms, including Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, Twitter, and others
• Strong writing, proofreading, and communications skills with experience writing for a variety of platforms
• Strong visual sensibility and eye for contemporary digital design practices
• Experience working with photography and video creation for social media
• Excellent writing and copy editing skills, knack for adapting tone and tailoring content for various audiences
• Strong computer skills including familiarity with WordPress, Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft Office Suite, Google Analytics, and Google Suite (HTML a plus but not required) and openness to learning new platforms and technologies
• Exceptional eye for detail, proven track record for reliable follow-through and time management, and strong organizational skills
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Digital
• Manages creativetime.org: updating content on WordPress platform, formatting new web pages, troubleshooting issues and escalating problems to webmaster when necessary
• Leads social media content planning and production: workshopping ideas with Head of Storytelling, creating content that is platform appropriate and tailored to audiences, manages the social media schedule and makes posts
• Monitors platforms and develops digital community relationships
• Prepares analytical reports on the performance of social media campaigns
• Makes recommendations of digital content according to news cycles, trends, and topical/relevant stories; cultivates a keen awareness of CT history and archives in order to suggest relevant tie-ins
• Secures permission for image use, negotiates image use rates, and communicates with relevant organizational reps to inform of comms plans
• Maintains and/or implement accessibility standards across digital media
Marketing
• Coordinates design and production of marketing collateral including wayfinding signage, print campaigns, and digital assets
• Creates and maintains deadlines and budgets for project production
• Supports Head of Storytelling with email building, visual framework and image sourcing for campaigns and newsletters
• Designs and represents the organization in community awareness strategies for events and projects, in collaboration with project team
• Maintains the organization’s web store, order fulfillment, and merchandise inventory
• Screens all incoming press and image requests and inquiries, passing them along to appropriate parties when necessary
• Helps create and maintain the organization’s communications calendar across platforms (Google suite, Airtable, etc.)
Administration
• Attends departmental and interdepartmental meetings (as required) and note takes, following up to share notes and agreed on next steps/decisions/actions
• Coordinates timely payments with all vendors and our internal financial controls
• Tracks all department costs and reconciles monthly expenses
• Maintains media, press, and project ephemera archive
• Manages department interns
SALARY: This is a full-time, non-exempt, permanent position with a salary of $54-56,000, depending on experience. The organization offers generous holiday and time-off benefits to all employees with medical benefits available upon start. The position is located in New York and candidates must be able to work in Creative Time’s downtown Manhattan office.
