Conversation about Art and Social Cooperation

On the occasion of the publication of Queens Museum Executive Director Tom Finkelpearl’s What We Made: Conversations on Art and Social Cooperation (Duke University Press), the Vera List Center for Art and Politics hosts a conversation about activist, participatory, coauthored aesthetic experiences of contemporary art. Participants include Finkelpearl and book contributors Brett Cook, artist; Wendy Ewald, artist; Sondra Farganis, Founding Director, Vera List Center for Art and Politics, The New School; Pedro Lasch, artist and Assistant Research Professor, Visual Art, Duke University; and Ernesto Pujol, artist and Performance Instructor, Parsons The New School for Design. List Center Director/Curator Carin Kuoni and Creative Time Chief Curator Nato Thomson are respondents. Presented by the List Center in collaboration with the Queens Museum of Art and Creative Time, the event is on Wednesday February 20, 6:30–8:30 p.m. at the New School’s Theresa Lang Community and Student Center, 55 West 13 Street, NYC.
