Creative Time

Become a Creative Time Intern

Creative Time is New York’s veteran and vanguard public art organization. We accept applications for our fall, spring, and summer internship programs. Our interns gain hands-on experience developing research, producing projects, and contributing to organizational goals. Interns are invited to apply to a specific department including: Events & Development, Programming, and Marketing & Communications. Our interns participate in both internal and external planning meetings, attend staff presentations, and travel to local cultural institutions for behind-the-scenes tours.

We encourage undergraduate, graduate, and very recent graduates (within the last year) to apply. International applicants will be considered but must make their own visa, travel, and accommodation arrangements and be authorized to work in the United States. Selection for Creative Time’s internship program is made on the basis of the applicant’s interest and motivation in working for Creative Time, demonstrated ability to contribute to a team setting, and commitment to a meaningful work experience. Interest and experience in nonprofits, public art, and the arts more broadly are a plus.

Applications for Summer 2021 Internships are closed. Check back in early July for more information on our Fall Internships. While we are currently operating with a staggered schedule of in-person and work from home hours, interns should be based in the New York City area and able to work in our offices or at local project sites.

Creative Time will be conducting all in-person work activities in consultation with CDC guidelines.
