Open Call for Submissions to the Museum of Arte Útil

The Museum of Arte Útil is a collaboration among artist Tania Bruguera, the Queens Museum of Art, New York, and the Van Abbemuseum, Eindhoven. The Museum is the result of a decade of research by Bruguera—whose Immigrant Movement International was presented by Creative Time and the Queens Museum—into a concept that emphasizes effectiveness and implementation over representation, looking at a variety historical and contemporary examples of socially informed art practice. The public is invited to submit proposals for possible inclusion in the Museum. The deadline for submissions is February 15, 2013.
