Molly Crabapple Live Stream Performance December 11

December 6th, 2013

Ever wonder how Google Glass might affect the way we see? Molly Crabapple has, and thanks to a partnership between Creative Time Reports and Rhizome, she is going to investigate. In a one-time only performance on December 11, from 3:00 to 3:30, Molly will don Google Glass while she creates life-drawings of porn star and fair-labor advocate Stoya, who will strike a variety of poses. Titled Glass Gaze, Journalist Tim Pool will hack Molly’s Glass so that you can watch her draw from her perspective, experiencing the artist’s gaze and sensing her efforts to maintain focus in the face of the digital intrusion, an experience that is increasingly a part of everyday life. The performance will all be streamed from the Rhizome home page. Check it out! And early next year, CTR and Rhizome will co-publish the video along with an essay about the project by the artist.
