Jesse Boykins III to Headline Our 9/20 Opening Party at Weeksville!

We’re excited to confirm that soul/R&B sensation Jesse Boykins III will headline our Saturday, September 20 opening lawn celebration for Funk, God, Jazz & Medicine: Black Radical Brooklyn! “Known equally for his sensuous vocals, unsettling charm and unduplicated aesthetics,” (NPR, April 2014), Boykins will bring his signature sound to Weeksville Heritage Center for this special party that includes a lead-up DJ set by Manchildblack. We hope you’ll join us for events from 12:00pm, and music from 2:00–6:00pm.
