Justine Ludwig Appointed Creative Director of Getty’s PST ART

Please join us in congratulating Creative Time Executive Director Justine Ludwig’s appointment as the inaugural Creative Director of Getty’s PST ART. While her departure is bittersweet, we are thankful for Justine’s enduring impact at Creative Time. She will join Getty on October 27, 2025, and will support PST ART’s collaborations with cultural, education, and community-based organizations.
The Board of Directors has assembled a search committee that will work with a search firm to recruit Creative Time’s next leader. As the search for a new Executive Director continues, Creative Time’s leadership is bolstered by our experienced Deputy Director Yukiko Yamagata who will serve as Interim Executive Director, and who will be responsible for overseeing the organization’s programming, staff, and operations.
Justine Ludwig states, “Working at Creative Time has been one of the great privileges of my life. Its history has so deeply inspired my own curatorial practice–the belief that art ought not be siloed and that artists are active drivers of social change. The organization could not be in better hands than with Yukiko and I have no doubt Creative Time will continue to thrive in its next chapter.”
Board Chair Jon Neidich states, “Creative Time thanks Justine for her leadership and contributions to its ongoing success in creating experimental and groundbreaking programming. We wish her the best of luck and are looking forward to finding Creative Time’s next leader to continue its visionary work. Creative Time has a number of projects that we are bringing into the world over the next few months–including our recently opened public art commission by Chloë Bass presented in partnership with MTA Arts & Design and a new slate of fall programming for our CTHQ gathering space–and we look forward to embarking on the next 50 years of the organization.”
We are excited for this next chapter for Justine, and would like to express our gratitude for her years of service with Creative Time.
