Creative Time Welcomes Celine Wong Katzman as New Associate Curator
September 9th, 2025
Please join us in welcoming Celine Wong Katzman as Associate Curator at Creative Time. She will support CTHQ, Creative Time’s new gathering space for art and political engagement. In addition, she will work on organization-wide initiatives, such as the Creative Time Summit and public programs related to Creative Time Commissions.
Celine joins Creative Time with extensive experience working alongside artists to unravel and transform exhibitions, classrooms, publications, and websites. Her research considers the impacts of contemporary technologies on archival practices, community infrastructure, and public space. Her projects span museums, galleries, train tunnels, farms, and the internet, including the first major U.S. museum presentation of the landmark online biennial CyberPowWow and a forthcoming solar-powered online art exhibition.
Previously, Celine co-directed the School for Poetic Computation and held curatorial roles at Rhizome, an affiliate of the New Museum, and the Queens Museum. From 2021–2023, she served as Mentor-in-Residence at NEW INC, and she has been recognized with fellowships including the Digital Fellowship at Singapore Art Museum (2025), the Asian Cultural Council Individual Fellowship (2024), and a Teiger Foundation curatorial grant (2023). Her writing appears in The Nation and Art in America, among other publications.
We are looking forward to seeing the bold, inventive, and transformative programming Celine brings to Creative Time.
