Celebrating 5 years of inquisitive journalism from Creative Time Reports with the publication of Artists On The News, in collaboration with Paperchase Press

From 2012 – 2017, we proudly produced Creative Time Reports, a multimedia platform that published the unflinching and provocative perspectives of artists from over 50 different countries on the world’s most challenging issues. In total, this initiative distributed 366 stories across a wide range of media outlets.

This Fall, we are thrilled to introduce our new publication, Artists on the News: Selections from Creative Time Reports from 2012-2017, a limited edition book published with our partners, Paperchase Press and edited by Creative Time Reports Founding Editor, Marisa Mazria Katz. Copies will be available at the Printed Matter Art Book Fair on September 20 – 22 at MoMA PS1. Come say hi at our booth and grab your copy. Stop by booth S-05 on Saturday, September 21 from 3pm – 5pm for a book signing with our Executive Director, Justine Ludwig and the founding editor, Marisa Mazria Katz.

Artists on the News highlights a selection of pieces from Creative Time Reports that underscore its power and impact. Asserting that culture and the free exchange of ideas are at the core of a vibrant democracy, Creative Time Reports published works that spoke truth to power and upended traditional takes on current issues. These texts question the framework of the news and offer radical recalibrations of complex topics by weaving in perspectives on media culture, mythology, psychology or history that inform our political thinking.
