    Endurance Demonstration | Tom Sachs SPACE PROGRAM: MARS

    Sachs and his studio team will conduct a real-time Endurance Demonstration of the SPACE PROGRAM: MARS Flight Plan. This singular event provides civilians the extraordinary opportunity to see SPACE PROGRAM: MARS in its entirety, as the team activates every single sculptural system, ritual, and narrative of this sweeping journey from Earth to Mars and back again.

    Sandcastle Competition

    This summer, Creative Time is heading to Far Rockaway to host its inaugural artist sandcastle competition! On Friday, August 17th starting at 3PM, artists including Ricci Albenda, Jen Catron & Paul Outlaw, Jen DeNike, William Lamson, Marie Lorenz, Mary Mattingly, Ryan McNamara, Kenya (Robinson), and Dustin Yellin will gather on the beach beneath the 86th Street Boardwalk on Rockaway Beach in Queens to battle it out for special prizes from esteemed judges.     Trevor Paglen: The Last Pictures

    In partnership with The New York Public Library’s LIVE from the NYPL program, Creative Time will present Trevor Paglen in conversation with Werner Herzog and Tracy K. Smith to debut the project in New York City’s Bryant Park, coinciding with the EchoStar XVI satellite launch in Fall 2012.

    Local Report 2012

    To celebrate its online launch on October 11, Creative Time Reports presents artist Robert Whitman’s newest project, Local Report 2012, an international media and telecommunications work featuring live sound and video reports from 90 participants in cities around the world, culminating in a performance and ongoing installation at Eyebeam Art + Technology Center.
