The Häagen-Dazs Holiday Light Shows marks the beginning of a new collaboration between Häagen-Dazs and Creative Time to commission and present adventurous art in the public realm, continuing Creative Time’s 30 year mission of enlivening such great and unlikely New York City public spaces as Times Square, the Brooklyn Bridge, and the skies over Manhattan with art of all disciplines. Häagen-Dazs In collaboration with museums, arts agencies and individual artist, the "Art of Pure Pleasure" national arts initiative is designed to support work in film, fashion and the visual performing arts, bringing leading-edge work to new audiences. Creative Time For nearly thirty years, Creative Time, a non-profit public arts organization, has presented public arts projects of all disciplines in New York City. From the Brooklyn Bridge Anchorage, Grand Central Terminal and Times Square to milk cartons, billboards, skywriting over New York City, and the recent temporary light memorial to September 11, 2001, Tribute in Light, Creative Time has a long and distinguished history of commissioning and presenting innovative art that invigorates the public realm. Scharff Weisberg Scharff Weisberg Inc. (SWI) has been active in the audio/video business for close to 25 years. During this time, the company has serviced many different types of markets and organizations and has always adhered to a philosophy espousing technical excellence couples with a strong commitment to customer service. Currently, Scharff Weisberg employs a full-time staff of 75 and is comprised of four technical areas: Staging and Pro Audio, providing A/V services, in the form of rental and semi-permanent installations for corporate, retail, themed entertainment and other fixed applications; Scharff Weisberg Lighting providing a full compliant of state-of-the-art lighting equipment and support and the Media Resource Center, a fully-equipped post-production and media services company specializing in servicing the needs of the presentation professional.
