He is also an internationally published author, Senior Editor of Surround Professional magazine, and contributing editor to EQ and Pro Sound News. Specializing in Surround Sound, he has over 20 multichannel DVD titles to his credit, including work by such artists as David Bowie, Blue Oyster Cult, Average White Band, Naxos Classical and the Marsalis Family project. Addtional credits include work with Emerson, Lake & Palmer, Al DiMeola, Joni Mitchell Central Park Tribute and Billy Squier. Rita Houston WFUV's award-winning Music Director, hosts the weekly and wide-ranging, 'The Whole Wide World with Rita Houston,' which airs on Friday nights from 8 -11p.m. As Music Director, Houston keeps an ear to the ground always programming WFUV's acclaimed City Folk format. In addition, she hosts the In Their Own Words series, and co-created the Required Listening series both at The Bottom Line nightclub in Manhattan's Greenwich Village. Houston is a two-time recipient of Gavin's Music Director of the Year, and has also won the Deems Taylor Award for Broadcast Excellence. A Westchester native, after several years living in downtown Manhattan, Houston lives upstate with her collection of vintage radios. |
