Visit the Project

The River That Flows Both Ways is located in a semi-enclosed tunnel where the High Line runs through the Chelsea Market building, between 15th and 16th Streets. Entrances to the High Line are located at: Washington and Gansevoort Streets, and along 10th Avenue at 14th, 16th, 18th, and 20th Streets.

The park is open from 7am to 10pm daily

During the High Line’s first summer season, due to the anticipated high volume of first-time visitors, the High Line’s limited capacity, and ongoing construction and horticulture work.

Visitors on the High Line will flow south to north. Please plan on entering the park at the Gansevoort Street access point, unless you are in need of an elevator. Elevator service is available at 16th street, with another elevator opening in July at 14th Street. You may exit the park at any of the northern access points (14th, 16th, 18th, and 20th Streets).
