About the Project
Creative Time’s Airtime: A Series of Wireless Art Projects_ featured a collection of works exploring of how wireless technology fragments both public and private space, as well as creates new artistic territory. One project, Cell Rules: The Lounge, consisted of a communal space in which a selection of art projects were enabled. The atmosphere of The Lounge encouraged visitors to relax, make a call, and contemplate cellular society.
The collective whole of the projects recognized how cell phones have changed both artistic and curatorial practices, activating the phone as both the canvas and the paintbrush.
