About the Project
For their 1993 poster series, the artist and design team, Bureau, generated a poster diptych in response to the murder of naval radioman Allen R. Schindler by naval airman Terry M. Helvey.
Distributed throughout New York City and exhibited nationally, Bureau’s poster campaign addressed the issue of profound discrimination and violence against gays in the military.
