About the Project
For several weeks in 2000, Creative Time exhibited Cuban artist Felix Gonzalez-Torres’s last work, Untitled, 1995. Displayed on twenty-four billboards throughout four boroughs in New York City, Gonzalez-Torres’s hauntingly poetic final work featured the image of a bird in flight against an empty grey sky.
The billboards ran concurrently with an exhibition at the Andrea Rosen Gallery.
